There are enough differences in Windows 2000, to challenge even the

hardened teccy. The quick fix series provides in depth "Snap shots" to

solve problems and carry out tasks. The topics are organised into units;

  • Installing and booting Windows 2000
  • Configuring Hardware
  • Configuring system software and components
  • Configuring the Windows 2000 Interface
  • Printing
  • The Command console
  • Network Configuration
  • Sharing and accessing Network Resources
  • Using and Troubleshooting TCP/IP
  • Using and Sharing Dial-up Networking Connections
  • Web Services and Security
  • Users, Policies, Certificates, and Security
  • Backup, Recovery, and Repair

The book has been written such that you delve in to use the  bit you

need. The text is clearly illustrated throughout with screen shots and

diagrams. The examples show the intricate parameters and information

needed in the various sub menus.

Navigating Windows 2000 (W2K), is straight forward but different, the

book will assist in showing you where the menus are and the options

needed to make them work. The content of the book is aligned to the

"annoyances" series, well written technical explanations that will save

you time and anxiety! This is a book for power users, but accessible to

anyone who will need to keep WK2 running smoothly.
