Outlook 2000, is part of the Office 2000 suite of programs, an under

estimated program capable of providing a high level of personal

organisation. The book explains in details all of the facilities and

functionality Outlook 2000 has to offer, which goes way beyond mere

e-mail. The calendar, contact and task elements when coupled with the

personal folder system, provide a framework for organising personal

information in a structured and easy to mange way. The scheduling and

rules features allow a dimension of control to the information, being

able to screen e-mail and file it immediately, or copy it to a folder.

Many people wouldn't realise you can setup a desktop icon, to execute a

command line, to open an outlook calendar on its own, or a task or note.

Apendix C on page 605 explain this, you can control and manipulate

Outlook, the interface can be customised, to you liking. Anyone who uses

Outlook 2000 in anger or has to support will value this book, there is a

wealth of knowledge tucked away between the covers. More advanced topics

like integration with Corporate e-mail systems are also covered. A

clearly written well illustrated and detailed guide to a powerful often

overlooked product.
